He’s a candidate at the Freud-Institute Zurich (Swiss Society for Psychoanalysis). As psychiatrist and candidate in psychoanalytical training one of his special interests is the connection between Psychoanalysis and Psychiatry. He is a Senior resident at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich working with patients in different settings (acute psychiatric in-patients, patients with affective disorders in a psychotherapeutic day-clinic, out-patients in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis). He’s member of the research group at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich on ‘Therapy and Process Research’. He’s also interested in the issues and problems of psychoanalytical training as these reflect the current environment in Science and Health Care Politics which takes a somewhat critical view of Psychoanalysis.
