Valeria Nader (Argentina)

Valeria Nader is a Physician who earned her medical degree at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina. She completed her training in Psychiatry in the Centenario Hospital, treating admitted patients and outpatients of this general hospital and admitted patients in the Psychiatric Hospital “Agudo Avila”. Valeria was Chief Resident for one year and completed a rotation in the Borda Psychiatric Hospital, the major public psychiatric hospital for men in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Valeria became interested in Psychoanalysis when she took several courses on the subject at the beginning of her psychiatric training. She completed a three year, Private Postgrade Residence of Clinical Psychology and then in 2006, she was accepted as a candidate in the Rosario Psychoanalytic Association. She finished seminars in 2010 and she is about to graduate.
Valeria began teaching at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario as a medical student and continued to do so for many years. She taught Histology and Embryology for five years. She was also a professor of Psychiatry at the University’s medical school and taught in the Psychiatry Postgraduate Course, Universidad Nacional de Rosario for six years.
Her current work consists of treating patients in her private practice, for some, as a Psychiatrist and for others, as a Psychoanalyst. She works with adolescents and adults and she’s been interested in treating borderline patients. She also works in a multidisciplinary team in charge of treatment for patients with Eating disorders.
